Strength is one of the few physical qualities you can continue to build well into middle age and beyond. From your forties onwards, training becomes less about chasing a short-term look and more about protecting the capability you rely on every day: carrying, lifting, travelling, playing sport, and keeping up with the people around you.

Structured resistance training gives the body a clear, repeatable reason to maintain muscle and bone quality. The word that matters is structured. Random effort produces random results; a programme with defined movement patterns, sensible progression, and consistent execution produces a much clearer response.

The other benefit is confidence. When you know how to set up, brace, and complete a lift properly, training stops feeling like a risk and starts feeling like a skill. That shift is usually what keeps people consistent for years rather than weeks.

In Execufit coaching, strength work is always matched to the individual: your training history, your available time, your movement quality, and how well you recover. The programme should fit your life rather than the other way around.
