Most training plans fail on the busiest weeks, not the easiest ones. A programme that only works when your schedule is perfect is not a programme you can rely on.

The practical answer is to define a minimum version of your week in advance: the two or three sessions and the handful of core movements that must happen regardless of workload or travel.

Fixed training slots also help. Deciding when you train removes a daily decision, and consistent timing makes the habit far easier to protect against meetings that expand to fill the day.

Finally, plan for travel explicitly rather than treating it as an interruption. A short, well-chosen hotel gym session maintains momentum far better than waiting until normal conditions return.
